Harlequin Arts Academy Terms and Conditions

PAYMENTS

Our aim is to make things as easy as possible for our clients.

Monthly Subscriptions:

Childrens’ Classes: The subscriptions are worked out over a 12 month period. We are open 41 weeks of the year. The annual class cost is worked out over a 41 week period and is divided by 12 months to keep the payment the same from month to month and more affordable. The monthly payment is due on the 1st of each month and is payable monthly thereafter. Payments are due each month regardless of whether the studio is closed for school holidays. Contracts are automatically renewed after 12 months unless 1 months notice is given.

Fees are paid monthly by direct debit via our class manager portal. After your initial trial you will be asked to set up a direct debit, this will be the same amount each month and is payable 12 months of the year and is due on the 1st of each month. No credit is given for missed classes.  Any late fees will be charged at £2 each week they are late. We prefer payments to be made via go cardless and you will receive an invitation via class manager portal to set up payments, please note the name registered with class manager and go cardless must be the same. Payments can also be made by card using class manager and BACS for exam fees. Examination fees are additional fees and you will be invoiced for these separately, normally 10 weeks prior to the examinations taking place. Exams normally take place on weekends, not weekdays.

TERMINATION OF CONTRACT

Although we don’t want to see anyone leave, we understand that situations change and the need to cancel may be necessary.

If you wish to cancel the contract with us, we require 6 weeks notice for each class attended to be given to us in writing to harlequindance@hotmail.com (text messages and messages via social media will not be accepted). Your notice period will be taken from the date we receive your email. You will be permitted to continue with the classes until the notice period has ended.

Children should be dressed appropriately for classes in the required uniform. No jewellery to be worn and long hair to be tied away from the face preferably in a bun for classical ballet. A list of uniform requirements can be found on the website and facebook page/group.

Please ensure children arrive for class on time and are collected on time. All children are to be collected from outside the main entrance, please advise the class teacher of any alternate collection arrangements.

The principal is responsible for all placements of students in appropriate classes, please honour their professional judgment. Advancement is not automatic. Ability to apply instruction, concentration and level of interest all contribute to steady development along with regular attendance. The principal has the right to withdraw any student who is not working to the level required and to place them in a lower grade or higher grade where applicable.

Parents are responsible for any examination fees they permit their child to be entered for. This includes any centre or pianist fees.

Harlequin Arts Academy aims to treat all children fairly and to give honest advice to parents, if you are unhappy with any aspect of the service given please contact the school principal who will do their best to resolve the problem.
