Mission Statement
Our aim is to provide an educational insight into the world of dance, encouraging students to be confident in realising their own ideas and potential without the normal barriers and constraints imposed by society. To create a safe, stimulating environment in which to share the enjoyment of the arts and help students to develop new skills whilst achieving something of personal value helping them to grow in confidence, body and self image in a non discriminatory environment.

About us
At Harlequin Arts Academy in Hadfield, we use a variety of teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of our students. All classes are suitable for boys and girls.
We have classes to suit different ages and abilities and beginners are always welcome. Private lessons are occasionally available on request. From the age of 5 students are able to take dance examinations with the ISTD and RAD, both of these dance organisations are recognised by OFQUAL. This means that the dance exams are recognised qualifications and are placed on the national qualifications framework. From grade 6 upwards, exams can be used towards secondary school diplomas and UCAS points. It also means that teachers have had to pass rigourous exams in order to teach.
Dance disciplines taught
Harlequin Arts Academy offers affordable, quality dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre,Jazz, National. Children are accepted from 2 years of age and classes range up to advanced levels. Examinations can be taken with the ISTD and RAD.
